Now that the Christmas and New Year’s festivities are over (though warmly secured in our memories) we would like to share with you one of our favorite experiences from the holiday season. While the food and the company was certainly enjoyable, we were overwhelmed with the success of our Spark Of Love Toy Drive we held to benefit the members of our community in need during this very joyous time.
About Spark Of Love
The Spark of Love Toy Drive is a drive that benefits from the generosity of our community’s businesses and citizens in conjunction with the local Fire Department. Beginning in the 50s by a single firefighter who wanted to provide toys for children in need over the holidays, this long-standing annual event is something that has grown, ensuring children throughout our region receive a toy during the holiday season.
A Thank You To Our Community
Our Spark Of Love Toy Drive held on December 19, 2015 was a major success. We would like to thank each and every one of you who donated gifts and your time. If you missed the big day, you will be happy to know that even Santa himself made an appearance (in Station #3’s fire engine, no less!). Corona’s Motel 6 donated a container of toys and people from all around (patients, passersby, employees, and more) dropped off toys, as well. Here’s to a very successful 2015 holiday drive!
